Title: Ocular and systemic associations of against-the-rule astigmatism in children from tertiary ophthalmology clinic
Abstract: Based on clinical experience and literature review, most children with astigmatism have with-the-rule astigmatism. By contrast, against-the-rule (ATR) astigmatism in children is rather rare. We investigate: (1) the prevalence of ATR astigmatism in an eye clinic setting from a tertiary referral pediatric hospital, and (2) the possible associated ocular and systemic features in this group of children.
