Methomyl residues on tomatoes

Description: Abstract Trials were conducted on both glasshouse and outdoor tomatoes to determine the residues of methomyl (‘Lannate’) after a single application at the recommended rate (0.25 kg a.i./ha) and stronger concentrations. The resulting residues were below the New Zealand tolerance of 0.2 mg/kg except for the highest rate (four times that recommended) sampled 1 day after application.
