Title: Prescribed scalar curvature on a complete Riemannian manifold in the negative case
Abstract: The proposed problem is to determining functions which are the scalar curvature of some complete metric g′ conformal to an initial metric g . This problem is equivalent to proving the existence of a function u which is a solution of the equation: 4(n−1)n−2Δu+Ru=fu(n+2)/(n−2),u>0, such that the metric g′=u4/(n−2)g is complete. We study the case of negative scalar curvature. We intend to find sufficient conditions in order that the proposed problem have a solution.
