A novel ultrasonic levitation of gyroscope has been developed based on the inverse piezoelectric effect. The ultrasonic vibration is induced by two B04 flexural standing waves with phase difference for the ultrasonic levitation of gyroscope. The two standing waves combine into a traveling wave, which exerts levitation and driving force to the gyroscope rotor. In this article the finite element model of the ultrasonic levitation of gyroscope is built and the dynamic analysis is conducted. The prototype is manufactured and the stator vibration parameters, levitation and driving characteristics are obtained by test. The experimental results primarily confirm that the project of ultrasonic levitation of gyroscope is feasible.Read More
