Title: Sulla totalit� delle curve algebriche tracciate sopra una superficie algebrica
Abstract: Nelle ricerche sia di Geometria the d'Analisi, s'incontra oggi moho spesso, per categorie svariatissime di enti, la questione della base, che pub formularsi in generale cosi:Dato un insieme di elementi qualunque, fissare, se ~ possibfle, alcuni ~ra essi, in guisa che ogni altro elemen~ dell' insieme risul~i legato agli elementi fissati, mediante operazioni ben de~n~e.La questione della base ~ fondamentale nella teoria dei campi di razionali~, e si presen~ inoltre nelle ricerche di Dedekind e Weber sulle funzioni razionali appar~enenti ad una data curva algebrica; nelle ricerche di Hilber~ sui moduli di forme algebriche; helle ricerche di Hurwitz sulle corrispondenze tra i punti di una eurva algebrica; nello studio degli in~egrali abehani e degl' in~egrali di Picard; ecc, etc.In questo lavoro io stabilisco l'esistenza della base per l'insieme deHe curve (algebriche) traceiate sopra una superficie algebrica F, provando che, se pifi curve della superficie diconsi algebricamente legate quando una combinazione lineare (a coefficienti interi e positivi) di alcune di esse, sta in un medesimo sistema algebrico irriducibfle~ con una combinazione aualoga delle rimanenti, si pu~ determinate un intero positivo .%tale che, fissate comunque s~dla su~erfwie E ~ curve algebricamente distinte, ogni altra curva della F risulti algebricamente legata ad esse (Teor.VI).I1 numero Q dicesi il numera-base della superficie; e l'insieme delle # curve algebricamen~e dis~in~e si dice una base per la ~otalit~ delte curve algebrich~, tracciate su F. *) Un riassunto dei principali risultati di questa ]~emoria trovasi nei <<Comptes rendus>> del 6 febbraio 1905.Curve slgebriehe soprs uns superfieie slgebrics..:195 Dar6 un cenno della via seguiga per giungere a questo risultato.
