Title: UP-2.001: Laparoscopic Implantation of an Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) for Treating Female Stress Urinary Incontinence Due To Internal Sphincter Deficiency
Abstract: Implantation of an artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) is an established last resort surgical option for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) due to internal sphincter deficiency. Usually, the history of previous operations as well as the potential co-morbidities and obesity renders open implantation quite challenging. We present our experience with laparoscopic implantation of the AUS for managing women with SUI due to sphincter deficiency.
