In an attempt to provide students with the benefit of the latest technology, some instructors include multimedia content on their class Websites. While this is of great benefit to the students, it often creates a problem for the instructor. Most teachers are not adept at the technology needed to produce and distribute good audio-visual presentations. This article seeks to remedy that situation. It begins by introducing the basic terms and concepts needed to understand the multimedia domain. Following that, it gives a brief tutorial designed to help instructors create good, consistent audio-visual content. While it is not a complete treatise on the subject, it will impart the knowledge needed to allow motivated instructors to achieve good, consistent results.Read More
