Title: Effect of error in the unperturbed wavefunction on electric polarizabilities of shielding factors of atoms
Abstract: The polarizability and the shielding factor of the hydrogen atom are calculated by using an unperturbed wave-function Φ0 with one parameter. The accuracy of Φ0 is changed by varying the parameter. The polarizability is sensitive to the error in Φ0, but the shielding factor is less sensitive.
