Abstract: The insect antifeeding property of 25 limonoids isolated from Meliaceae plants, Okinawan and Chinese Melia azedarach and Chinese Melia toosendan, were tested by a conventional leaf disk method. The most potent were classified as azadirachtin-type C-seco Iimonoids and the next appear to be apo-euphol limo no ids with a 14,15-epoxide and a C-19/C-29 bridged acetal.
