Title: Delivering psychosocial interventions for offenders
Abstract: This article examines the implications surrounding psychosocial interventions for mentally disordered offenders. The article will discuss some of the problems experienced in implementing psychosocial interventions (PSI) towards different patient audiences, from both service users and staff perspectives. The article will also briefly highlight some of the various, most commonly used interventions, before discussing the effectiveness on the most commonly utilised therapies. The article concludes by discussing the recent implications for staff regarding psychosocial interventions from both a local and national perspective.
