Description: ABSTRACT The essential oil produced from the leaves of Cinnamomum impressinervium Meissn. obtained from wild and cultivated stands in Northeast India were examined by GC. Ten components representing over 96% were identified in both oils. Eugenol was the main component in both oils, the concentration of which was, however, higher in cultivated sources (88.3%) than in the wild ones (83.2%).
