Spin-cast lightweight honeycomb monolithic mirror blanks will be employed, in conjunction with active primary support structure and thermal control. The focal-plane instrumentation will encompass a CCD imaging system, a multiple-aperture Cassegrain spectrograph, a multiobject spectrograph, high angular resolution IR imagers, a medium-resolution IR spectrograph, and a cryogenically cooled high resolution IR echelle spectrograph.Read More
