Title: Variability in Feeding Behavior of the Malaysian Prawn Macrobrachium Rosenbergii (De Man) During the Molt Cycle (Decapoda, Caridea)
Abstract: [Une analyse du comportement de la crevette d'eau douce Macrobrachium rosenbergii dans la reponse a des chimio-attractifs pendant son cycle de mue a ete effectuee dans les conditions de laboratoire. Le comportement alimentaire a inclus trois composantes sequentielles majeures: 1) detection initiale et recherche sans deplacement, traduites par une agitation accrue des antennules, avec fouettement et balayage, ceci etant accompagne de mouvement du dactyle des pereiopodes; 2) mouvement vers la source de la stimulation chimique avec la poursuite des activites mentionnees ci-dessus; 3) arrivee au point d'introduction des chimio-attractifs avec essai d' alimentation. Les crevettes, meme aux stades de pre- ou postmue, ont ete stimulees de facon positive par des concentrations de taurine aussi faibles que 10-5 M (au point d'introduction). La reponse positive incluait une intense activite de recherche et un deplacement, mais en atteignant rarement le but. Par ailleurs, dans le stade d'intermue, les crevettes reagissaient positivement, meme quand les concentrations n'etaient que de 10-8 M. Betaine, glycine et proline ont suscite un meme type de reponse pendant les divers stades de mue, mais a un seuil plus eleve.
