Title: Mid-voltage power line based communication system for distribution automation and the design of terminal hardware
Abstract: This paper presents a scheme of high rate data communication system based on mid-voltage (10 kV) power line for power distribution automation, and a substation roaming algorithm aiming at network reconstruction and automatic relay, which is proposed for the first time. In the design of terminal hardware, the high rate data communication technique used in low-voltage power line communication systems is adapted to mid-voltage systems by using high-frequency wideband amplifier to overcome long distance attenuation. The effective injection of OFDM high rate data into mid-voltage power line has been realized. It can satisfy 10 km transmission requirement. (6 pages)
