Title: Placental Site Trophoblastic Tumor: A Case of Extensive Pulmonary Metastasis
Abstract: INTRODUCTION: Placental site trophoblastic tumor (PSTT) is an uncommon variant of malignant gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) that arises from intermediate trophoblast cells, producing relatively low levels of b-hCG and hPL, and are frequently resistant to chemotherapy. We report a case of PSTT with extensive pulmonary involvement and polycythemia, without known genital tract disease.
