Discusses the development of global logistics strategy, taking a bottom‐up approach. Assesses the effects of product‐market characteristics on strategy formulation and evaluates logistics strategy at business unit or company level. Considers the implications of global logistics strategies, detailing the critical success factors which apply and highlighting the need for organizational change.
