Title: Liquid-based cervical cytology in the detection of recurrence after treatment for cervical cancer
Abstract: Objective: Cervical cytology is a standard component of follow-up protocols for women with treated cervical cancer, but the frequency and proper management of women with borderline cytology results are unclear. Our objective was to evaluate the utility of liquid-based cytology in detecting recurrent cervical cancer and to determine the utility of colposcopy and biopsy done for patients with abnormal, but not frankly malignant Paps after treatment.
