Title: Stød and pitch accents in the danish dialects
Abstract: Abstract The stød is a characteristic feature of standard Danish. It also appears in most of the Danish dialects, but there it often deviates typologically from standard Danish. Other Danish dialects have different pitch accents. Since it can be difficult to get a clear impression of the situation in the various Danish dialects, the following should be seen as an attempt to give a systematic survey of the occurrence of the stød and pitch accents in the Danish dialects (cf. also map 1).
