Title: Information flows and ICT-system interconnections in electricity supply chain wind power modelled
Abstract: In comparison to traditional electricity production systems, wind power has several additional factors. These factors often create uncertainty to the optimal wind power management and electricity supply chain. In order to function efficiently in the power market business it is crucial to recognize relevant factors and positioning information. In such perspective, this qualitative research study analyses and identifies the power business environment and accompanying information flows and connections. This paper also shows that management of data, information and knowledge in the electricity supply chain needs interconnections of several separate ICT (Information and Communication Technology) - systems. This study therefore, aims to offer generic solution to manage data chains and information flows in the environment of multiple energy ICT-systems. As a result, this study presents a proposal of high level model that describes both system interconnections and information flows. The presented model is usable as a generic framework of information flows among ICT-systems in this particular field.
