Title: Direct Mass Measurements of Short-Lived Nuclides at the Storage Ring Facility in Lanzhou
Abstract: Properties of unstable nuclei are indispensable for our understanding of nuclear structure and of nucleosynthesis processes in stars. Today, accurate data for nuclides lying far from the valley of beta-stability are required. However, these nuclides can generally be characterized by short half-lives and very small production rates, which makes their experimental investigation extremely difficult. Very fast and efficient methods are therefore needed.
