The exact solution of the potential problem is obtained by means of Schwarz- Christof...An analysis is given of a rectangular Hall plate with edge contacts of nonzero lengths, equal in size, two by two. The exact solution of the potential problem is obtained by means of Schwarz- Christoffel transformations. The numerical calculations involved can be reduced to those of regular integrals. In addition, for several dimensions of the rectangle, simple and accurate approximations have been derived for the product μB of Hall mobility and magnetic induction. Numerical data are tabulated in a directly applicable form so that a pocket calculator is sufficient to obtain the value of μB from measured data.
