In addition, this study proposes a new measure of fingerprint image quality using the Fourier spectrum. The proposed method measures the fingerprint image quality based on the global characteristics of the image. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm shows better performance in the quality classification of fingerprint images than the existing algorithms, and this leads to a 6% improvement in the false rejection rate.Read More
