Title: AN INTRODUCTION TO GENERAL EVOLUTION THEORY
Abstract: The study of evolution extends beyond any given scientific discipline, to embrace the sequential but nonlinear evolution of complex systems in the cosmos and in the biosphere. The exploration of a truly general theory of evolution has major consequences for our understanding of physical, biological and human-social phenomena. New developments in various scientific fields, most notably in the systems sciences, provide the basis for the investigation of the cross-disciplinary laws and regularities that furnish the premises of general evolution theory.
