Title: A monte carlo study of the effects of grouping on the analysis of censored survival data

It is important to determine the consequences of the use of the Peto-Breslow approximate likelihood function in the analysis of studies with grouped and censored observation. A Monte Carlo study was performed to simulate the response surface analysis of data generated under the assumption of Cox's proportional hazard model. Fortuitous reductions in the mean squared error of the model parameters with slight grouping and censoring are observed.Read More
