Title: The modification of excessive frequency of urination: A case study
Abstract: Excessive frequency of urination (preceded by an excessive urge to urinate) in a male student was treated by requiring him to refrain from urinating for progressively longer periods of time during a 12-hr period each day (Fixed Period) while allowing him to urinate freely during the remaining 12 hr (Free Period). Over a 31-week treatment period, urination frequency declined to within normal limits during both Fixed and Free Periods and normal urination frequency was maintained during a 1-year follow-up period.
