Title: Criticism of "National Accounting" in Capitalist Countries
Abstract: By national, or social, accounting bourgeois economists mean a system of unified economic-statistical indices that may be used, it is alleged, to describe the economy of a capitalist country, make economic forecasts, and "regulate" the national economy. National accounting, in the opinion of its theorists, differs from other methods of studying the national economy precisely in that it is based on comprehensive indices (the volume, structure and distribution of national product and national income, savings and investments, consumption, exports and imports, etc.) brought together with a view to "regulating" a capitalist economy.
