Title: Orthoptic Assessment of Children with Learning Difficulties
Abstract: The orthoptic investigation of children with learning difficulties is discussed and a new orthoptic test for “reference eye” in central binocular vision is described. The effects of abnormal central binocular function, as shown by responses to the new test are also described. Experimental orthoptic treatment undertaken to date has shown encouraging results. It is suggested that the orthoptist can be a useful member of the diagnostic and remedial teams involved with the problem of learning difficulties.
