Title: Radiometric performance results of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter's Lyman Alpha Mapping Project (LRO/LAMP) UV imaging spectrograph
Abstract: We describe the pre-flight radiometric performance and calibration results of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter's Lyman Alpha Mapping Project (LRO/LAMP) flight model. LAMP is a lightweight (6.1 kg), low-power (4.5 W), ultraviolet spectrograph based on the ALICE instruments now in flight aboard the European Space Agency's Rosetta spacecraft and NASA's New Horizons spacecraft. Its primary job will be to identify and localize exposed water frost in permanently shadowed regions (PSRs), and to characterize landforms and albedos in PSRs. Detailed radiometric performance results of the LAMP flight model are presented and discussed.
