Title: Influence of defects on mechanism of interaction of polyacetylene with protonic acids
Abstract: In the experiments standard polyacetylene and its blends with polyvinylbutyral were used. Previously, it was shown that polyacetylene in such blends contain fewer defects. These studies showed, that oxidizing protonic acids interact similarly with standard polyacetylene and its blends. This interaction corresponds to the classical process of doping. Interaction of polyacetylene blends with non-oxidizing protonic acids indicate only cis-trans isomerization PA with no associated doping. The assumption is made that principal factor determining these differences is content of defects in polyacetylene.
