Title: Shallow Water Reverberation Model Based on Bottom Reflection Parameters
Abstract: The modal shallow water reverberation theory and the energy‐flux shallow water reverberation theory were combined to develop a new model of waveguide reverberation based on bottom reflection parameters P and Q. There are only three environmental parameters (P, Q and backscattering coefficient μ) in the new reverberation model. The parameters have clear physical meaning and the new reverberation model can be tested by the experiment data easily. The new shallow water reverberation model was compared with the modal reverberation model and the Yellow Sea reverberation experiment data. The results show that the new model can explain shallow water reverberation in most cases.
