Abstract: A class of fields is constructed explicitly within the models of quantized space-time first proposed by Snyder. These fields contain explicitly the "elementary length" $a$, in contrast with the fields originally obtained by Snyder, which can be obtained from ours by letting $a\ensuremath{\rightarrow}0$. We show that the electrostatic energy of an unquantized point charge can be made finite by a suitable choice of the basic commutators even though an elementary volume does not exist in the theory.
