Title: Developmental changes in protein content, volumes and amino acid pools in the larval fat body and hemolymph of Calliphora erythrocephala
Abstract: 1. Hemolymph amino acid concentrations decline in mid-to-late instar, with total hemolymph pools peaking later due to increased hemolymph volume. 2. Fat body total amino acid concentrations increase throughout the instar, mainly due to tyrosine accumulation. 3. Individual amino acid concentrations show complex patterns of change with development, and are significantly different between the hemolymph and fat body.
