Abstract: It is recognized that tretinoin gels provoke more skin irritation than tretinoin creams) There is no need for redness or scaling to occur in order to benefit from the use of topical tretinoin.3 Initially tretinoin preparations should be used by the patient on a daily or alternateday basis.This case emphasizes that the physician and the pharmacist should alert the patient to the early signs of adverse reactions to topical tretinoin preparations and highlights the importance of beginning the use of topical tretinoin preparations in a gradual and appropriate manner.
