We report a case of chronic diarrhea and malabsorption in a homosexual man in whom both I. belli and Cryptosporidium species were found in small bowel aspirates and intestinal biopsy specimens. A chronic cough subsequently developed, and Cryptosporidium species was found in respiratory secretions and on the mucosal surface of a bronchial biopsy sample.A 42-year-old homosexual man with a 10-month history of profuse diarrhea was seen at the Lahey Clinic in May 1982. The patient was...References1. GANA A. Coccidiosis humana. Biologica (Santiago). 1966;39:3-26. MedlineGoogle Scholar2. NIMEBUREKPAGEHOLSCHERYARDLEY FJDMJ.
