Title: Electricity Generation Comparison of Two-Chamber Microbial Fuel Cells with Different Membranes
Abstract: In this paper, performance of microbial fuel cell constructed film A, film B and film C, with acetate as carbon source, potassium ferricyanide solution as the electron acceptor, has been studied. The capacity of the microbial fuel cell electrical performance was tested and several membrane microbial fuel cell cost-effective was analyzed. The results show that: maximum volume power density of membrane A is 3.45W/m3, the internal resistance is 56.08Ω; maximum volume power density of cell with membrane B 3.68W/m3, the internal resistance 49.13Ω; maximum volume power density of cell with membrane C 8.25W/m3, internal resistance 26.59V. Comparing the performance, film A, film B is a bit weak, but the film A, film B are on the absolute advantage in price. With the membrane in-depth study, cost-effective good films for industrial applications in microbial fuel cells is feasible.
