Title: Ein Vorsichtiges Traditionsfach Oder Ein (Lebens-)Wissenschaftlicher Aufbruch?<BR> Anmerkungen zu romanistischen Positionsdebatten
Abstract: Seit mehreren Jahren ist in der Romanistik ein selbstreflexiver Diskussionspro zess in Gang gekommen, der notwendig und begr??enswert ist. Wie beispiels weise die ?Osnabr?cker Erkl?rung?1 aus Anlass des Symposions ?Das Potential Europ?ischer Philologien? illustriert, betrifft diese Reflexion die Philologien ins gesamt, und die Romanistik tut gut daran, sich in solche Debatten einzubrin gen. Das geschieht seit einiger Zeit auch durch Schwerpunkte romanistischer Zeitschriften: begonnen mit den von Jochen Mecke koordinierten ?Revisionen, Positionen, Visionen? einer ?Romanistik 2006? in der Romanistischen Zeitschrift f?r Literaturgeschichte im Jahre 2005, ?ber die ?Programmschrift zum Jahr der Geisteswissenschaften? von Ottmar Ette unter dem Titel ?Literaturwissenschaft als Lebenswissenschaft? in Lendemains, die eine Diskussion ausl?ste, welche sich 2007/08 ?ber vier Hefte erstreckte, bis zu der Rezension der von Klaus-Dieter Ertler herausgegebenen ?Romanistik als Passion? durch Frank-Rutger Hausmann in den Romanischen Forschungen (Heft 1, 2008), auf die im dritten Heft die ses Jahrgangs mehrere Vertreter romanistischer Fachverb?nde reagierten. Wenn man diese j?ngsten Stellungnahmen bilanziert, so f?llt das auf, was schon den Schwerpunkt der RZLG charakterisierte: Die Beteiligten vertreten im Allge meinen eine Profilierung der Romanistik, die den eigenen Schwerpunkten und jenen ihres jeweiligen romanistischen Instituts oder Seminars entspricht. Dies ist vielleicht unvermeidlich und weist zumindest den Vorzug einer klaren Posi tion auf. So antworten Rudolf Behrens (auch) als Italianist, Martin Neumann als Lusitanist, Paul Geyer als Europa-Kulturwissenschaftler, Hans-J?rgen L?se brink und Jochen Mecke, allerdings mit unterschiedlichen Nuancier ungen, als Medienund Kulturwissenschaftler und Klaus-Dieter Ertler als Fachhistoriker.
