Title: A contact pyrometer for the measurement of specimen temperatures on a thermobalance
Abstract: A pyrometer is described which can be suspended from the beam of a thermobalance and connected to a thermocouple in contact with the specimen under investigation. A miniature reflecting galvanometer is used, in conjunction with a conventional lamp and scale. Temperatures up to 900° C have been measured, with an accuracy to ±10 degC.
