Abstract: IT has been estimated that 10 to 20 per cent of women will have urinary-tract infection at some time during their lives1 and that about 99 per cent of those with recurrent infections will have urinary-tract reinfections, as opposed to persistent urinary-tract infections.2 The value of radiographic and endoscopic investigations of the urinary system in women with such reinfections, however, has not been clearly defined.
