Title: A Compact Device for the Efficient, Electrically Driven Generation of Highly Circularly Polarized Light
Abstract: A novel, compact, and simple-to-manufacture photon recycling device, which is driven by a polymer light emitting diode (LED), generates highly circularly polarized light. The device (see Figure) is based on a chiral nematic liquid crystal and it uses the metal cathode of the LED simultaneously as electrode and as recycling mirror of the recycling structure.
