Description: An ansatz yielding propagating wave solutions for pure SU(3) gauge theories is exhibited. The solutions are self-dual and have a superposition property like their SU(2) analogs. Possible generalizations of the ansatz which may be used to obtain additional irreducible SU(3) solutions are also suggested.
