EDGERTON is professor and chair of the Communication and Theatre Arts Department at Old Dominion University. Besides co-editing the Journal of Popular Film and Television, he has published widely on the relationship between media, history, and culture. His most recent books are Ken Burns's America (Palgrave for St. Martin's Press, 2001) and Television Histories: Shaping Collective Memory in the Media Age (University Press of Kentucky, 2001, with Peter C. Rollins).Michael T. MarsdenMICHAEL T. MARSDEN serves as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Research at Eastern Kentucky University, where he is also professor of English. One of the founders of the Journal of Popular Film and Television, he has co-edited the journal for thirty years. He is also Professor Emeritus of Popular Culture at Bowling Green State University, where he assisted in the establishment of the undergraduate and graduate programs in popular culture and published widely in the field of popular culture studies and American culture studies.
