Title: Staff/student participation in course evaluation: a procedure for improving course design
Abstract: This paper discusses some of the techniques that are available for course evaluation, with special reference to ‘illuminative’ evaluation, illustrated by an evaluation programme undertaken at the University of Brunei Darussalam. The evaluation described in the article emphasizes the usefulness of summative evaluation, outlines the conclusions of the evaluation process, and indicates the constraints met during that process.1
