The key point is the application of Joule heating by an AC current through the module in addition to a DC current that transfers heat by Peltier effect. A simple circuitry consisting of a signal generator and two digital multimeters is all that is required. The performance test was satisfactory. The temperature difference required for measurement is below 0.1 K, within which the temperature homogeneity is maintained in the equipment. This method is applicable under high pressure as well as in vacuum.Read More
