Title: Study on the adaptive impedance relay based on zero sequence voltage polarization
Abstract: An adaptive impedance relay based on zero sequence voltage polarization is proposed in this paper. The dynamic operating border of this relay is completely the same with operating border of the fault phase voltage UKφ of fault point, and its earth resistances possess sound adaptivity. Transition resistance, load current, or whether the relay is on the source side or load side does not influence the operating characteristic of the relay. At the same time, there is no operating "voltage dead zone", and has definite directionality. Matlab simulation analysis result proves that this relay has fine operating characteristic, and has strong adaptivity to earth resistance on the 500 KV ultrahigh voltage line. (5 pages)
