Title: Post-embryonic development in Caenorhabditis elegans
Abstract: Many genetic and cellular aspects of post-embryonic development in C. elegans are understood to a degree unparalleled in any other animal. As discussed here, genetic and developmental studies have led to an understanding of some of the complex behavior and physiology of dauer larvae. A variety of approaches has provided information on genetic relationships, developmental timing and cellular specificity.
