Aiming at the non-linearity and parameter perturbation in the MSCMG axial active magnetic bearings (AMB) system under multiple disturbances, this paper employs a novel fuzzy integral sliding mode controller to cope with those control issues. The axial rotor dynamics and electromagnetic force models of magnetic bearings are established with consideration of the parameter perturbation and external disturbance. Then a sliding mode controller based on coil current and rotor position with integral sliding plane is designed. And the fuzzy control method is integrated with the sliding mode reaching law to suppress the chattering phenomenon. The experiment were conducted and compared with the conventional linear controller. The results show that the proposed method not only has the better tracing property but also possesses stronger robustness against the allowed parameter perturbation and modeling uncertainties.Read More
