Title: Analyze on Demand Information Sharing to the Bullwhip Effect in a Simple Supply Chain
Abstract: A lot of companies are devoted to the demand information sharing between the retailer and its upstream supplier, which is a heat topic now and so the published documents in this respect are increasing sharply. But there is still few discussions on the benefits of information sharing reducing the bullwhip effects as well as its influential factors. This paper focuses on a quantitative analysis model on information sharing reducing the bullwhip effects for an uncertain demand simple 2-level apply chain. Our analysis result shows that the combination of the demand information sharing and reducing reserving period will play an important role in the decrease of the bullwhip effects when the demand and time are highly correlated
