Abstract: Chausseew~rter, friiher nie krank gewesen, hatte aktiv gedient und fiel am 14.IX. 1914 --7 Monate naeh der Geburt des Knaben im ~'elde in Frankreich.In der Familie des Vaters sind Erkrankungen, die auf Dystrophia musculorum progressiva oder auf StSrungen der Schilddriisenfunktion hinweisen, nicht vorgekommen.Zwar hat eine noch lebende, 30jghrige Schwester des Vaters angeblieh einen watschelnden Gang, jedoch sollen dabei keinerlei Zeichen, die auf Muskel-sohw~ehe irgendweleher Art hindenten, bestehen; sic kann beliebig lange gehen, hat diesen Gang unver~ndert seit der Geburt und ein Arzt soil eine tIiiftgelenkserkrankung festgestellt haben.Die Mutter des Pat.war bei seiner Geburt 25 Jahre alt.Aueh sic will angeblieh stets gesund gewesen sein.Eine Untersuehung ergab keine Zeiehen einer Mnskeloder irmersekretorisehen Anomalie.In ihrer Familie sollen jedoeh
