Title: Magnetic and electrical resistivity studies on RMnxGe2 (R=Gd–Er) compounds
Abstract: A.c. susceptibility and electrical resistivity studies carried out on RMnxGe2 (R=Gd–Er) compounds show that all the compounds are antiferromagnets at low temperature. The Néel temperature is between 3.4 K for R=Er and 27 K for R=Tb. The temperature dependencies of the electrical resistivity are typical of metallic conductivity. The resistivity at low temperatures shows for R=Tb and Ho, an anomaly typical of antiferromagnetic materials. A negative temperature coefficient of the resistivity is observed below 5 K for R=Tb and 20 K for R=Er.
