Title: 10 years later: Lung transplantation enhances survival
Abstract: Bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS) and renal dysfunction are the two most significant non infectious threats to long-term lung transplantation (LTX) survival. Given the generally disappointing 1-year survival rates (ISHLT 74%) it is not surprising that extended survival after LTX is rarely described.
